Dr. Minmin Luo received his Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Pennsylvania, and conducted the postdoctoral research in the Duke University. He is now the Director and Distinguished Investigator of CIBR, the Investigator of the National Institute of Biological Science, Beijing, and the Professor (tenured) of Tsinghua University. Dr. Luo focuses on the functions and mechanisms of the brain 5-HT neurons in the dorsal raphe and the neural pathway from the medial habenula to the interpeduncular nucleus. His lab expects to understand the basic neural circuits that control reward and punishment related behaviors, and also contribute to clinical treatment.
